I had another birthday last week and I went through the usual ritual of comparing where I am now with where I was a year ago.
Not many people know this about me, 10 years ago I escaped from a domestic violence situation with just my kids and I literally had to start again from scratch.
This makes reflecting on the past 10 years pretty easy – it just gets better, and I am determined to keep improving myself and my life for my kids. I believe is evolution.
It also makes me realise that we only really compete with ourselves. What everyone else is doing is completely irrelevant to your life.
We all have our own stories and pasts so how can we possibly compare our journey with someone else?
Stop worrying about the Jones, the Influencers, the Competition.
Look inwards not outwards to gauge your progress.
Be kind and have compassion.
Master empathy
Be the leader YOU would want to follow.
Nourish your mind with positive content
Keep learning.
Stop and smell the roses
Read, read, read.
Lose regret
Remember you can always make more money, but you can’t make more time.
Squeeze the most out of every day.
